Mark Yarnell’s 7 Ultimate Rejection-Free Recruiting Strategies

I’ve recently finished reading Mark Yarnell’s new book called “How to become Filthy Stinking Rich Through Network Marketing”.

What a great book with a ton of insight for anyone involved in Network Marketing, especially the new person.

The book takes you from start to finish on everything about this great Profession. I love that it’s raw and they tell you like it is. (no fluff)

The co-authors in this book are: Valerie Bates, Derek Hall, & Shelby Hall.  Combined with all of them,

there is more than 50 years of experience in Network Marketing.  Who better to learn from than the folks

who have made multi-millions of dollars!

I’m not going to do an entire book review here, but rather go through just one of the chapters that Mark Yarnell wrote

titled:

“The Ultimate Rejection-Free Recruiting Strategies”

which I think has some great ideas.

Let’s get into it:

1. The Lime Green Card Advertisement

Print the following message on 4×6 Lime Green index cards and put them everywhere: ie. bulletin boards, etc

Earn $30K Per Month

Wear Disinger Clothing

Drive a new Mercedes

Now Interviewing

Serious Inquires only (your phone # here)

Make sure your phone # leads to a vmail that refers them to your company sizzle message and if they’re

interested, leave their contact info. If you don’t have a sizzle message, get creative :)

2. Data-Specific Lists

This is an interesting one where you find a list of people who you share common interests with you and basically cold call them.  In Mark’s example, he would buy lists of people who were Para-gliders because that’s what he liked to do.  He would call them and say:

“Hey (name), My name is William; I’m a paraglide pilot and I understand that you are also.  This is going to sound crazy, but I think I have found a way for paraglide pilots

like us to earn $30-50K a month and fly five days a week.  Grab a pen and I’ll give you a website link so you can check it out”

3. The Kiosk CD Handout

Go to the local malls and approach owners/managers of the kiosks.  Say this: “If you could earn an extra $10K per month right here, without any additional overhead, would it be

worth it to you to go to lunch with me to learn how?”   The idea here is to sign them up and have them handout your company CD’s/DVD’s to people in the mall in additional to what they

already sell.

4. The Fate Approach

Ok, this is for the extroverts out there that have a bit more “guts”.  Mark actually learned this from Laura Kall and her approach is this.  When you are out and about and perhaps

standing in line, you see someone close to you who looks somewhat professional but burnt out(lots of people are these days), say to them: “Do you believe in fate?”  Most of the time they ask what that means..She’d say: “Do you believe things happen for a reason? For ex. here we are in a city of 10 million people, what are the odds that we would be standing in the same line at the same time? Of all the places in (the current city), where we could have been right now among these millions of people, maybe fate has drawn us together”.  

She would then hand them a cd/dvd and say “I want you to think about it; I do believe in fate and I thin we’ve been drawn together for a reason.”

Interesting, huh?

5. The Billboard

Obviously, this one will take some cash.  Mark suggests pooling together with your team in a co-op to create a billboard in a high traffic area.  The message should be something like:

Exit the rat race forever. Earn $$$ a month from home [phone#]

OR

Hate this traffic? Work from home. Become Wealthy. [phone#]

6. The Job Fair

This is a great place to get people’s contact info and build a lead list.  The idea is to simply meet people get their biz cards and contact info, and if the time is right, give them your company cd/dvd’s. Do not walk around introducing yourself, rent a booth, leave your brochures around or business cards.    One good idea is to wear a button that says “My company is looking for three good people”

7. The Pall Bearer

I love Mark’s terminology, one of the things that is most funny about him!  Anyhow, what he means by this is…

Contact every person who becomes your prospect every six months until that person either signs up in your organization, or you become a pall bearer

at his or her funeral!   The truth is, in MLM, it’s about timing for people.  When they are ready, they’ll listen to what you have to offer.  So every

6 months is a great way to touch base with them as you never know what has changed in their life.  Fact is, people change jobs every 3.7 years. Imagine if you catch

them in that time frame?  Chances of them looking at your biz is really good.

The company Lightyear Alliance(parent company)  is a solid telecommunications company that was started by Sherman Henderson in 1993.  They have some very big corporate customers that they service with high end telecom products.  Sherman is also on the board of Comptel which is based in Washington, D.C., COMPTEL and is the leading industry association representing competitive communications service providers and their supplier partners.  So his credibility as a leader of Lightyear Wireless is substantial.

In 2005, Lightyear Alliance decided to start their own Network Marketing / MLM division to offer their new VOIP product to the masses.  They wanted to offer this product through a network of people and not the traditional sales methods.  So, with that, they began to create a very fast growing team of distributors throughout the U.S. to promote their products which consist of VOIP, Dish Network, Home Security, Travel, Home Phone, Home Internet.  Although those products are continuing to be sold, the story continues into July 2008, when Lightyear joined forces with Sprint to offer Wireless Phone service and they launched Lightyear Wireless which is now their core product.

They use Sprints network to deliver phone service to it’s customers, but Lightyear Wireless is the actual company you buy service from. They take care of all the billing, customer service, send out the phones, warranty’s, etc, they ARE the company and have awesome service!

They offer No Contract service with a few different packages. Their flagship product is what I like to call the “all you can eat” $59.99 monthly plan which is Unlimited everything (data, voice, text).  And it’s truly Unlimited with no restrictions unlike the big boys.  You can even tether your phone to your laptop/computer with no extra costs..that’s pretty cool because the big companies charge for that.

Most of the network is still on 3G, but they claim to be slowly adding 4G into their network.  Although it’s represented as “nationwide” coverage, it’s really not.  There are many parts of the country where there is no service.  You have to look at the coverage map.  But they are in most major cities and when I had the service is was great here in Florida.  By the way, they also offer 2 year contract service via Verizon’s network where the coverage is basically everywhere. But it’s NOT unlimited…and there’s only 2 phone options.  Speaking of phones…

Lightyear Wireless Review

offers a pretty wide range of phones.  They are not all the latest/greatest models but getting better.  The kicker, is you have to pay full price for the phone since it’s a no contract deal.  So up-front, you’re paying upward of $400 for a phone, BUT, over the long term, it’s well worth it.  Do some simple math and you’ll find that it works out to your advantage.  Oh, and I can’t forget their Get 3, and your service is FREE! Who else offers the ability to get FREE wireless service??

So, my Lightyear Wireless Review boils down to the fact that they are a great company, with great leadership at their home office in Louisville KY.  Their product is solid as long as you don’t mind older phone models (sorry Iphone users).  But just remember, you’re looking for a business opportunity which is to build an organization of lots of people so it’s not really about the phones, it’s about the business.

Florida FCAT testing (biggest scam)

It’s Monday April 16th, 2012 and I’m on a bit of a rant today about the biggest test week here in Florida called the

Florida FCAT (Florida comprehensive assessment test).

In my opinion, it’s the biggest scam created by former Governor Jeb Bush (yea George Bush’s brother) and I want to personally thank the idiot for implementing this hideous, outrageous, piece of crap, worthless test EVER thought of.  I’d also like a round of applause the other state lawmakers that supported this effort and continue too (Gov Rick Scott)!

The reason I’m so passionate about my opinion on the Florida FCAT, is two reasons:

1. My wife is affected because she’s an elementary teacher for the past 14 years

2. My oldest son is in 3rd grade and is taking it for the first time

Let’s make no mistake that testing is definitely important, but it should NOT be a determining factor whether a student is promoted to the next grade level.  I’ve always SUCKED at tests and still do.  Some people are just not test takers and never will be. To this day I have difficulties with tests and unfortunately since my background is in IT, there are always different certification tests, etc that employers look for.  Well, got news for you, there are some people who can read a book, memorize it, and pass a test but then put them in front of a computer, and they choke, they can’t perform the job function. So in my field, those tests don’t mean a dam thing!

…anyway, let’s talk about reason number 1 mentioned above about why I HATE the….

Florida FCAT

The state of Fl is now using the test scores to determine if teachers are given raises and for those teachers who are not tenured, they can even get fired.  How’s that for “job security”? Way to motivate the teachers huh especially the one’s who work their asses off to teach our future adults.   So it’s a teachers fault if they have students with learning disabilities, children with no parents, children with parents in jail, children who don’t do homework, etc..that list goes on and on.  How in the hell can they base the teachers performance on circumstances like that??????

Yea, there are teachers that under perform and crappy, but don’t put ALL teachers in one bucket for goodness sake. Reward those that are overachievers and punish the sucky ones, period!

..oh and let’s not forget that the people writing these tests have no clue what is taught in the classroom to prepare for these tests.  Their not even teachers or former teachers!

My second reason for hating

Now it impacts my own child for the first time in his life.  Thankfully he has straight A’s and knows his stuff, but he’s been stressing about this for the past week.  I think any parent can agree with me on this one.  All we can do is keep telling them they will do fine and hope they do.  It’s heartbreaking almost especially since you know that they are timed and under pressure.

So that’s my rant on the Florida FCAT scam.  I truly hope someday the state governments get a clue and figure out a better way to approach education.  If we keep up this way, eventually this country will keep declining because apparently Washington doesn’t give two craps about the educational system in the greatest country in the world!

This post on Florida FCAT is dedicated to my wife and son’s who have to deal with this.  Luckily, my wife can retire with a pension in 5 years so she’s stick it out and say bye bye very shortly!!

Dumb and Dumber 2

Dumb and Dumber 2

I’m so stoked at the moment! I just found out yesterday (April 2, 2012) that Jim Carey and Jeff Daniels are going to start filming “Dumb and Dumber 2″ in Sept 2012 baby!!! I never thought they’d make a part 2 after that so called sequel completely bombed (because those two characters weren’t in it..duh)

I’ll admit that I like those stupid hilarious type of movies, must be a guy thing because my wife thinks I’m crazy….but hey, most of my friends love it too so we’re all IN to see….

Dumb and Dumber 2

That was my all time favorite movie (not that I’m a big movie junkie at all). But it’s so freakin hilarious and I admire Jim Carey’s creativeness. The dude just has a sense of humor that is absolutely crazy and it’s not just in the movies, in real life.

The original movie was released in Dec 1994 (year after I graduated high school), written and directed by the Farrelly brothers, a low budget movie (17Mil), that killed it in the theaters.

Lloyd Christmas played by Jim Carrey, and Harry Dunne played by Jeff Daniels were two dudes that were basically dead beats who couldn’t hold a job to save their lives. So while Lloyd was working as a limo driver, he found a briefcase full of cash that belonged to a beautiful blonde named Mary Sawnson, played by Lauren Holly who he dropped off at the airport. Little did they know, the cash was used for ransom and the story unfolds from there as they find out Mary Sawnson is headed for Aspen Colorado. The funny part when he asked where she was going, she said “Aspen” and Lloyd, the idiot that he is, says “California, eh”… :) Just one of the many hilarious parts..

Lloyd and Harry now have to find a way to get this briefcase back to Mary and finally figure out that Aspen is NOT in Cali, but in Colorado.

So they start there adventure to Aspen in the shaggy wagon, then eventually sell it and buy a scooter because they can’t afford the gas.

The Scooter

Here they are scooting their way along to Aspen and have a bunch of mishaps including one with a dude named “seabass” who they stole lunch from by telling the waitress in the bar that he was paying the bill and they hauled ass out of the restaurant!

They finally make it to Aspen, but the noses are frozen and they can barely walk. They now have to find Mary but before they do….they found out the briefcase was loaded with cash! Now, who in their right mind would not open a briefcase if they found it some might ask..??

Dumb and Dumber 2 (can’t wait…)

Long story short, these two crazies take the money and turn into big shots, buying expensive cars, renting hotel suites, throwing money at people, I mean just spending stupid money..

They end up finding Mary, but Lloyd’s luck is not very good, she wants nothing to do with him as much as he tries. He almost gets killed by the dude holding Mary’s husband at ransom, but the FBI came in and saved him.

Their life turned back around to what it was and they began their trip back home. On the way home, YET again, they make another stupid mistake when approached by a bus full of Hawaiian Tropic girls looking for two guys to help them and these morons pointed them in the other direction and off when the bus………they will forever regret it…that is, I hope is where….

Dumb and Dumber 2

will continue.

Me and my buddies are patiently waiting until summer 2013 when Dumb and Dumber 2 is released to see what other stupidities are about to unfold!

Eric Worre Go Pro Review

I wanted to share a little bit about my experience since following Eric Worre and purchasing his product called……..

Go Pro

First off, Eric Worre is a legend in the Network Marketing / MLM Profession for over 20 years. He still is an active distributor in the industry. I found out about him two years ago when I stumbled onto his website which is NetworkMarketingPro.com. Eric has been so gracious since opening his site (which is a video blog) and has recorded 650 FREE videos as of this writing about every single subject you can imagine about Network Marketing / MLM..(and continues to add videos a few times a week)!! The VALUE from these videos is unbelievable, go there now and start watching! (by the way, I’m not affiliated with this site, I just love his stuff and want to share)

I’ve been following him ever since and have seen all his videos. Let me just say that Eric Worre is one of THE most humble, honest, straight talker, and nicest people I have ever come across. He has such a huge heart and truly cares for people especially in this industry. His VISION and mission is to start a new brand for the Network Marketing industry and teach people how to become NETWORK MARKETING PROFESSIONALS.

…And I might add that he’s done a phenomenal job at it. He now has over 50,000 followers and growing daily. I think when I started following, it was at 20,000 or so. If you’re not following Eric Worre, go here and check it out!

Go Pro … the way to GO

Approx 2 years ago, Eric Worre released a product called “Go Pro” which is an audio series consisting of 8 cd’s. I jumped on that series on the day it released. Since then, I’ve stopped listening to the radio in my car and have listened to this series probably 75 times all the way through. It’s basically a compilation of hundreds of his video’s but formatted in a fashion for someone who is brand new to this industry to start with basics and take off and GO PRO !!!

Now, I was just checking his site and don’t see this series for sale, however, he’s now doing LIVE GO PRO seminars, recording them, and then selling the entire seminar as a home study course. In fact, there’s one coming up soon; I would suggest you check it out. Even if you can’t make it, at least start watching his videos, especially the interviews he has done with other legends.

Let me just close with this. I’ve been in/out of Network Marketing for more than 15 years never making any progress (my own fault). I finally decided that it was time to get serious a short period ago. I have to say that Eric Worre has taught me so much and has INSPIRED me to move forward and become a success in this business and most importantly GO PRO. Some day when I’m on stage at my company event speaking for the first time, I will mention that I owe ALOT of my success to what I’ve learned from Eric.

In my opinion, Eric Worre will be the next Jim Rohn because of the wisdom he brings to the world!

I wanted to let everyone know about my experience after purchasing the 15K Formula product..

I joined the online marketing world in Oct 2011 by joining another “system” (Dave Wood was my sponsor funny enough). Despite my extensive background knowledge in the IT field, I was completely lost on how to blog, SEO, article marketing, video marketing, etc…There was a TON of training on many different areas of internet marketing through that system, but most of it is informational and not so much “how-to” and I didn’t know where to start.  There’s so many people selling you stuff, that you don’t know what to buy andwhat to do next.

Fast forward one month, and Empower Network was born and I was one of the original 30 people to join and it has been the best thing I’ve done, period!

The Empower Network 15K Formula product was not available for the first two months. I’ll admit that I didn’t buy it when it first launched until 3 months after it released. Big mistake I regret because up till that point, I had been only blogging which takes a long time to start seeing results from organic traffic.  I needed to get to the next level and figure out how to use other marketing methods….

…So I decided to stop being a wussy and just buy the…….

Empower Network 15K Formula

……product and holy cowabunga! Here I was lost online thinking how the hell do I sell this stuff, I don’t
know anything about pay-per-click advertising or SEO, or just marketing in general.  Boy, I was in for a treat.  I’m telling you this product/training is all you need to figure this out.  The people teaching in the course are masters in their specific area (Ie. SEO) and tell you step-by-step how to do what needs to be done.  It’s a collaboration of all the top earners in Empower Network that know their shit (sorry for the language :)  ) !

…..WELL I found the answers I’d be wondering about all this time…their all in the course called theEmpower Network 15K Formula!! There are 8 modules (it started with 6 originally), and let me tell you, the very first module teaches how to optimize your blog posts so they rank better/faster.  I took what I learned, wrote a new blog post, and within 22hrs, it ranked on the First page of Google !!! That first module alone is worth the full price of the product, BAM!  Now that I’ve gone through all modules, I can say without a doubt, every new marketer NEEDS this product.

The question is….Are you sick of not having the anwsers, scratching your head on what course to buy??

..As we say in the Empower Network, stop being a wussy, Look no further, and  JUST GET IN AND BUY THIS PRODUCT IMMEDIATELY, TRUST ME..

My experience in the Blue Ridge Mountains

Blue Ridge Mountains in Georgia

It was spring break here in Central Florida, so we decided to make a last minute get-away for 4 days

to a cabin in the Blue Ridge Mountains in Georgia (that picture is the actual cabin).  It’s something we’ve always wanted to do and so why not this week..

Oh, quick side note.. what’s even better is that when you have money, you can do stuff like this and pay cash.  So the non-sense we hear about “money can’t buy happiness” or it’s evil is pure bullsh$T, (excuse the language).  Without money, you can’t have fun and do the things you want in life.  Life is way to short to not enjoy it!

Ok, let’s get started with my story of….

Blue Ridge Mountains

We started the journey on a Sunday morning and after a 10 hour drive, made it our destination in Blue Ridge Mountains.  Since we had never been there, we had no clue what to expect other than the pictures of the cabin on the website which were awesome.

The entire ride through the Blue Ridge Mountains was very pretty. It was until we found the main road where the cabin was located that freaked us out a bit.  It was a windy dirt road with shacks that people lived in about every hundred yards or so apart.  And when I say shacks, I’m really not kidding (wooden and very old rotted out mobile home trailers). Very sad actually because the land was beautiful. I guess people just like to live in poverty ??…

Anyway…My wife and I were like, “where are we?”  but we kept going as per the directions to……….

.  Finally after about a mile of windy, bumpy, narrow road, we found the next road where our cabin would sit.  There were actually 4 other cabins in that area.  Thank goodness it was pretty up there…hewww! But I told my wife that I was concerned about our safety given the surroundings that I described above.  I know it sounds bad maybe, but in my mind, these locals see people driving in here with nice cars and they know people have money and I just had the thought.  But that’s just me…I’m sure if it was an issue, they wouldn’t rent the cabins.

Crazy Driveway!

The next part was the driveway down to the cabin. Should I say Steeeep!  (see picture) I was brave enough to drive down with our Honda Odyssey van (it looked pretty safe).  It was the drive up that hill the next morning that was interesting.  Oh yea, front tires started spinning out, but I made it…  Guess what, the next two nights, I parked at the top of the hill!  I think the property managers need to inform people about those driveways.  Next time, we’re renting a 4×4 !!!!

So we unpack the van and open the front door to this beautiful house!  I immediately told my wife we are building one as a vacation home! (just not in that area :)   )

This house had everything you need, literally.  All you have to bring is food.  Absolutely amazing place and we loved it.  Talk about peaceful surroundings with a stream in the back was pure awesomeness.  Walked down to the stream (picture below) and I found myself gazing into the stream just memorized. What a life in Blue Ridge Mountains!!!

So we did the sight-seeing stuff. Took a hike in the Amicalola falls state park

Those falls were really cool.  Climbed a few hundred steps to look at this and our boys loved it.  Nature sure is amazing!

Overall, we had a wonderful time in Blue Rigde Mountains and would definitely go back and visit.  What I really loved was the small town and no traffic.  You can actually drive at ease; what a relief from big city life.
